Modern Living Room redesign for Kevin P.
I use mixed media of readymade objects to create visual examples of what I go through on a daily basis with my Tourette’s Syndrome Disrder
TSD & Me
the inclusion of wood, spray insulation foam, paper mâché, plus other materials, create a life sized allegory of how Tourette’s effects me personally, by showing a number of my thirty-eight tics.
Repression
the mixed media of 2L soda bottles, insulation foam, and wood, combine to show the results of trying to control or forcefully stop a Tourette’s tic attack.
One Way Letter
Wrongly marked envelopes and letters fall down a wall to an overflowing desk to show exactly what Tourette’s Syndrome Disorder is.
Anywhere, Anytime
Blown up black/white and teal photos with 12oz soda bottles, spray insulation foam, and hot glue come together to show how often a Tourette’s attack can occur.
As a 31yo Christian woman, with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree and a minor in Psychology, I have developed a strong foundation in both creative expression and understanding the human experience. My art is deeply rooted in my faith, inspiring me to create pieces that not only captivate the eye but also provoke thoughtful reflection on God’s creation.
My passion is using art as a tool to challenge preconceptions and foster empathy, particularly for individuals with disabilities, to change the way the world views them, and prove to them that they DO have a purpose in this world.
